Former Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards has admitted to a long-rumored extramarital affair with filmmaker Rielle Hunter, 44, but denies that he is the father of her baby daughter.
Edwards, 55, made the admission during an interview with ABC's Nightline that aired Friday night. The former North Carolina senator – who has been married to wife Elizabeth since 1977 – says he was not in love with Hunter.
Edwards says in the interview that he has not taken a paternity test to prove he is not the father of Hunter's daughter because he claims the affair ended before she was conceived.
