LeRoi Moore, a saxophonist and founding member of the Dave Matthews Band, died Tuesday in Los Angeles of complications from an ATV accident in June. He was 46. However, the show went on for the Dave Matthews Band Tuesday night, with Dave Matthews paying tribute from the stage to saxophonist LeRoi Moore.
"We all had some bad news today," Dave Matthews told the sell-out crowd at the Staples Center in Los Angeles after the first song. "Our good friend LeRoi Moore passed on and gave his ghost up today and we will miss him forever."
