Former couple Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston competed for the top place in the box office and it seems the actress gained the upper hand with her new family-friendly comedy ‘Marley and Me,’ also starring Owen Wilson.
Both of the actor’s new films opened on Christmas Day, but Aniston’s ‘Marley and Me’ set a new record for the highest one-day total ever for a film opening on Christmas, grossing $14.8 million. Pitt’s drama ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,’ also starring Cate Blanchett, wasn’t far behind with $11.8 million.
