The Los Angeles District Attorney’s office announced Thursday that rapper Chris Brown is being charged with two felonies in the beating of his girlfriend Rihanna.
Brown, 19, has been charged with assault and making criminal threats in the February 8 altercation with Rihanna. If convicted, Brown could face probation or a maximum of 4 years and eight months in state prison.
Rihanna, 21, reportedly suffered “two huge contusions,” a bloody nose and split lip in the assault.
Rihanna and Brown spent nearly three weeks apart before meeting at rapper Sean Combs’ Miami home last week. Sources close to their pair say they are “definitely together” and working on their relationship.
