American Idol Final Four Rumor Put to Rest Last Night!

Looks like the rumor over claims that an "American Idol "producer said the show’s final four had already been picked turns out to be totally false! Considering the anonymous source listed the Top 4 to be Danny Gokey, Lil Rounds, Adam Lambert, and, Alexis Grace, and Grace went home.

Ryan Seacrest promised a “shocking” elimination on the American Idol results show Tuesday and he was right. Early favorite Alexis Grace didn’t have a good week with her rendition of ‘Jolene’ while Michael Sarver was slammed for singing ‘Ain’t Goin Down.’

The pair found themselves in the bottom two but judges Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Kara DioGuardi said they would consider saving one of them with the new Save rule.

Alexis and Michael were left to think about their fate while Idol alum Carrie Underwood and country legend Randy Travis performed a duet.

After the performance, Ryan announced that Alexis was voted off and Michael would be staying. The judges said Alexis was the one they would consider saving. She was given the opportunity to sing ‘Jolene’ one more time while they considered saving her.

After her performance Simon told her it was good but not good enough for them to use the save.

Those who move on to next week and will be going on the Idol Live Tour are – Scott MacIntyre, Alison Iraheta, Megan Joy Corkrey, Danny Gokey, Adam Lambert, Michael Sarver, Anoop Desai, Lil Rounds, Kris Allen and Matt Giraud.
