A small, private funeral for actress Natasha Richardson will reportedly be held in New York within the next three days. A source close to the family confirms funeral arrangements are being made but did not reveal the location or exact date of the service.
Richardson, 45, died Wednesday following a skiing accident Monday in Canada. She suffered severe head injuries and was reportedly brain dead. A friend of the family said there was “no chance” for her survival and she would be taken off life support.
Richardson leaves behind husband Liam Neeson, their two sons, mother Vanessa Redgrave and sister Joely Richardson. “Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during their very difficult time,” the family said in a statement.
