Jessica Simpson was dumped by her country label after her name was noticeably missing from Columbia Nashville and Sony Music Nashville’s websites. She also skipped this year’s Academy Of Country Music Awards.
“She was on loan to Sony Nashville for her country album.” The singer’s rep tells Us. “She is and has always been an Epic artist,” her rep adds. “She continues to be on Epic’s label."
Simpson's country debut, Do You Know, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard country charts, but it only sold 172,876 copies as of February which is not very good.
