The Twittervasion continues and many celebrities are finding that their addiction to the annoyingly popular online gimmick may cost them more than a few minutes of wasted time. For starters, celebs may want to remember that the little tweeting forum is public. Take poor John Mayer for example.
Numerous sources are reporting that Jennifer Aniston reportedly broke up with the musical mastermind when she uncovered a few too many little white lies in his tweets. According to the reports, Aniston busted Mayer after he told her he was so caught up in work he was too busy to see her. Unfortunately for the song hero, his little tweets read differently.
And recent pics that turned up on the net showing Demi Moore bending over in her swim suit turned out to be posted online by none other than her doting husband, confirmed Twitter addict, Ashton Kutcher. Demi reportedly called him “a sneak” and then noted that she was pressing and ironing his clothes for him when he snapped the shot.
But not all twittering between celebs these days has been so scandalous, take the recent example of Jamie Oliver and her newborn Petal. The new mom used the twit’s outlet to release the first photos of her new baby before paparazzi could take the coveted photos themselves.
Taking It to the Next Level It’s one thing to reveal the cute and smiling face of your new bouncing baby to the world via the net, but Jay Electronica and his girlfriend Erykah Badu may have taken things to the next level. When Erykah had her home birth, the couple used the online forum to expose every minute detail about the happenings – even down to how many centimeters she was dilated. Talk about giving the people what they want!
While it’s no secret that celebrities love Twitter because it’s a great way to keep themselves in the news, these seeming over-indulgencies into the new media seem to beg the question: Did we really need to know that?
