Lindsay: Split with Samantha Shocked Me!

Lindsay Lohan says she was just as surprised over her split from Samantha Ronson as her fans were. The actress tells Ellen DeGeneres that the breakup earlier this month “came out of nowhere.”

“I had no idea what was going on. I just hadn’t seen her in, like, a week. She, like, disappeared,” Lohan says.

The 22-year-old actress didn’t reveal the reason behind the sudden split, but did deny rumors of cheating. “I don’t believe in cheating on someone,” she said.

Lohan added that she believes the split has been good for her. “

You know when people are together so much it gets really difficult and you forget who you are because you're more concerned about being with the other person. I think it's been really good for me. I thought it would be so much harder and it hasn't been,” she said.

As for what she plans to do next, “I feel like I want to get my career back in shape,” she said.Lindsay Lohan's interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show airs today (Thursday April 23, 2009).
