Bret Michaels was injured at Sunday’s 63rd annual Tony Awards. During an elaborate performance by many stars including Dolly Parton, Elton John, Liza Minnelli, the casts of West Side Story, Guys and Dolls, Pal Joey, Shrek, 9 to 5: The Musical, Next to Normal, Rock of Ages and Billy Elliot, Michaels took the stage with his band Poison and the cast of Rock of Ages.
After performing Poison’s hit Nothin’ But a Good Time, he missed his mark and ran into a piece of scenery. Michaels was knocked to the ground. His exact injuries are not known but Michaels’ publicist tells People magazine the singer was “getting X-rays,” but still hoped to attend after-parties.
