“Jon and Kate Gosselin have an announcement.”
Those are the words that appear on the screen in a new TLC promo for a one-hour Jon & Kate Plus Eight special episode, airing Monday (9 p.m. ET). Kate Gosselin reveals she and husband Jon Gosselin have made “life changing decisions.” The couple’s decisions will be revealed on the special episode, airing Monday.
“Recently, we’ve made some life-changing decisions — decisions that will affect every member of our family, ones that we hope will bring each of us some peace,” Kate says in the promo while phrases like ‘A family in turmoil’ and ‘A relationship at a crossroads’ flash across the screen.
The Gosselin family drama began with the season 5 premiere of Jon and Kate, which was watched by a record 9.8 million viewers, fans saw the couple throw a fifth birthday party for their sextuplets and witnessed the pair barely speaking. In the wake of Jon’s rumored affair with DeAnna Hummel, the couple admitted increasing marital problems may cause them to split.
