ESPN is reporting that The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Phoenix Suns have come to an agreement on a blockbuster trade that will send Shaquille O’Neal to Cleveland to team with LeBron James. Ben Wallace and Sasha Pavlovic will be sent to The Suns. The deal has been agreed to in principle and is expected to be finalized Thursday.
The move will give LeBron James and the Cavs a much needed powerful low post scorer in O’Neal. For the Suns the trade will save them close to $10 million dollars for next season.
Shaquille made $21 million dollars in 2009. He rejuvinated his career with 17.8 points and 7.8 rebounds per game for the Suns. He has won four NBA Championships and the Cavs will be his 5th team he has played for.
