Sarah Palin announced today that she will be resigning as Govenor of Alaska. No official reason was given, but officials think she may have illusions of grandeur of running for US Senate or presidency.
"It hurts to make this choice but I'm doing what's best for Alaska," she said in speech from the backyard of her Wasilla home with husband Todd and children Piper, Bristol and Willow at her side. "You can effect change from the outside, and I can too."
She may be leaving to run for bigger and better things, but I personally think that she is leaving to pursue a career as a soap star. Wouldn't she be perfect? She would have to have a coach help her with her accent, but other than that, it seems right up her alley.
