Mischa Barton was allegedly so high on cocaine and considering suicide, that her friends called police for help last Wednesday, according to sources.
Barton, is currently hospitalized in Los Angeles, was “removed” from her home Wednesday afternoon. Police confirmed they helped transport Barton to her doctor. Barton was hospitalized Thursday and sources have claimed she was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold, also known as a 5150 hold. A 5150 hold allows police to hold a person in a psychiatric ward if they present a danger to themselves or others, or suffer from a mental disorder.
“She’s in very bad shape. She’s running out of money and can’t find love, so now she is looking for a good time to escape her misery. She is on a downward spiral,” an insider tells the New York Post. “She is a mess. She is a suicidal, uninsurable mess.”
A rep for the 23-year-old has confirmed Barton is hospitalized but did not comment on reports of the 5150 hold. Barton was unable to attend the premiere of her new film Homecoming last Thursday.
