Mischa Barton’s “dark behavior” has caused her to lose friends, even one with Nicole Richie.
“In the last few years, her dark side has really come out. Her friends, like Nicole, want to be supportive but they really can’t be around her too much. She’s too volatile,” says a source. “It makes us sad, but we’re also like, ‘Pull it together and get help already.’”
Barton, 23, was placed on psychiatric hold last week after calling police with a “medical issue.” She is currently under a 5150 hold at Cedars Sinai Medical center. A 5150 hold gives authorities the right to hold old a person in a psychiatric ward if they present a danger to themselves or others, or suffer from a mental disorder. Barton was absent from the premiere of her new film "Homecoming" last Thursday.
