Michael Jackson’s doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray, is speaking out for the first time since he has been the focus of the manslaughter investigation into the singer’s death. In a new video posted on Youtube, Murray admits he has been “afraid to return calls” and “use email” because of “all that is going on.” Murray thanks his supporters for their messages and insists he will be fine.

“Please don’t worry. As long as I keep God in my heart and you in my life, I will be fine. I have done all I could do. I told the truth and I have faith the truth will prevail. God bless you and thank you,” he says in the video.

“Therefore, I recorded this video to let all of you know that I have been receiving your messages," he adds. "I have not been able to thank you personally, which as you know is not normal for me. Your messages give me strength and courage and keep me going. They mean the world to me.”

Murray was with Jackson the morning he died. He has administered the anesthesia propofol, better known as diprivan, to Jackson in the hours before his death.
