"The City" star Whitney Port and her boyfriend Freddie Fackelmayer have called it quits. The reality show’s executive producer Liz Gately confirmed the split to People magazine on Tuesday.

Port, who previously starred alongside Lauren Conrad on "The Hills," and Fackelmayer began dating in June. Their relationship will play out on the upcoming season of "The City."

Port, 24, previously admitted having a relationship while filming a reality show is difficult.

“It's really hard to have a relationship on camera because you have so many opinions coming in and out, and it takes away some of the mystery in a relationship,” she told People.
