TLC has filed a lawsuit against Jon Gosselin for break of contract. The network is suing the former "Jon and Kate Plus 8" star for violating his contract by making paid and unpaid TV appearances without their permission.
The lawsuit was filed in Maryland Friday morning. Jon is also reportedly accused of harming the show “with his constant criticisms.” He is warned to follow the terms of his contract and return any money made from other TV appearances.
“The network has been trying privately and patiently for months to get Jon to honor the contract he signed and to comply with his obligations relating to public appearances and statements. Those efforts have been unsuccessful,” said a statement from TLC.
Jon’s battle with TLC began last month after the network dropped him from Jon and Kate Plus 8 and renamed the show Kate Plus 8. Jon fired back with a cease and desist order that banned TLC film crews from entering the Pennsylvania home he owns with Kate. He claimed the show is no longer good for his family.
