There are reports that have hit the internet saying that Russell Crowe died this week while filming a movie in Kitzbuhel, Austria.

Crowe allegedly fell 50 feet to his death in the Hahnenkamm mountains. No other details were available.

A rep for the actor, 46, told UsMagazine.com the Internet and radio reports are "not true."

New York City radio station Z100 reported Thursday morning that the Robin Hood star had passed away, and the news quickly became a trending topic on Google.

I think I need more convincing. Why would someone start a rumor like that?
