Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie won a lawsuit against the British tabloid 'News of the World' Thursday. In a hearing at a London court, the couple accepted undisclosed damages from the tabloid for falsely reporting they planned to split.

"When the News of the World failed to publicly retract the allegations and apologize for them -- thereby leaving their readers in the dark as to the true position — the couple felt they had no alternative than to sue," Jolie and Pitt’s lawyer, Keith Schilling, said in a statement. “Today's victory marks the end of the litigation brought by Brad and Angelina.”

Jolie currently stars opposite Liev Schrieber in Salt. Pitt is filming Moneyball.
