Rihanna to Star in Battleship Movie

Rihanna will make her acting debut in the upcoming Battleship movie. The film, based on the classic board game, also stars Alexander Skarsgard and Taylor Kitsch as brothers who lead the fight to protect their planet from “an otherworldly force.” Rihanna recently admitted she hoped to land a movie role.

“Movies are definitely something that I want to get into soon. And although it may surprise people my ideal role would be a comic role,” she said.

The release date for "Battleship" is set for May 25, 2012.
