Creepy!

This is kind of creepy! Britney Murphy's husband Simon Monjack who passed away two months ago died of the same thing Britney did. His death was caused by acute pneumonia and severe anemia, according to a Los Angeles County coroner spokesman.
"Just like Brittany," Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said, referring to actress Brittany Murphy, Monjack's wife, who died five months earlier.
Some prescription drugs were detected in his system, but not in lethal levels, Winter said.

The late Brittany Murphy's husband, Simon Monjack - who was found dead on May 24 just five months after his wife - had two children from previous relationships.

Time To Cash In

I'm sure Simon Monjack is still in major mourning over his wife, but that didn't stop him from trying to cash in on some autographed Brittany Murphy photos.
In the wake of actress Brittany Murphy’s tragic death on Dec. 20, 2009, it’s not surprising that the two people closest to the deceased star — her mother, Sharon, and her husband, Simon Monjack — turned to each other for support. It’s Simon’s apparent intent to cash in on their pain that’s shocking. Simon appears to be trying to sell photographs of Sharon and himself consoling each other over the loss of Brittany. Life & Style has learned that one set of photos, being sold on Simon’s behalf through a third party, had an asking price of more than $40,000. In addition to the pictures, the price would include a brief question-and-answer session with Simon.
You know what? I'm convinced that Simon Monjack is a carny. I mean that's the only explanation for his looks and his uncanny ability to milk every dollar out of a tragedy.

Brittany Murphy's Death Was “Preventable”

A Los Angeles coroner official says Brittany Murphy’s sudden death at age 32 was “preventable.” An autopsy determined the actress died of multiple drug intoxication, pneumonia and iron deficiency. Assistant Chief Ed Winter told People magazine that Murphy would not have died had she seen a doctor.
“This death could've been preventable. Murphy was planning on seeing a doctor, but she unfortunately passed away before she did. This was a case of a person with pneumonia who was anemic (having a low blood count) who was taking medication when she should've been getting medical treatment,” he says.
Winter notes that Murphy was not taking illegal drugs at the time of her death.
“It was only prescription and over-the-counter meds,” Winter adds.
Murphy was found dead in her Hollywood Hills home on December 20. She is survived by her husband Simon Monjack and mother Sharon Murphy.

Monjack canceled the event Tuesday due to being sick with pneumonia.
