Frances Bean Cobain Engaged
19-year-old Frances Bean Cobain has gone and gotten herself engaged! I'm sure she's quite savvy at decision-making because she was raised by Courtney Love in probably what could be considered one of the most "normal" parenting environments on earth.
Frances Bean Cobain is reportedly set to wed singer Isaiah Silva. The 19-year-old daughter of Courtney Love and the late Kurt Cobain has been dating Silva (who front L.A. band The Rambles) have been dating for a year, and changed their Facebook statuses to "engaged" last month.
O.C. Weekly first unearthed the engagement news, nohing that Cobain wrote on her page in mid-September: "Getting to spend the rest of my life loving my best friend makes me the luckiest woman in the world."
I hope this dudes band doesn't suck - that has to be pretty tough to have your dad basically be a bona-fide rock legend and you're wondering if he's looking down on you, approving the musical skills of your new flame, or thinking he totally sucks. Odds are the band sucks because they're from LA and we know what that means.

Courtney Love To Release Tell-All Memoir
If you love reading about booze, sex, rock-n-roll and murder - then it's time for you to pick up Courtney Love's new memoir, set to come out next fall.
The hard-living rock star and actress known for her band Hole and for her brief marriage to Kurt Cobain has a book deal with William Morrow.
Morrow is an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers. It announced Thursday that Love will "set the record straight."
Her memoir will address life with Cobain, the Nirvana leader who died in 1994, her drug problems and her Hollywood career.
The memoir is currently untitled and is scheduled to come out next fall.
Courtney Love Gets Sued
I guess I didn't really need to title this post, since we all know what Courtney Love is, but it was still funny. Courtney has somehow managed to piss away another $430,000 of Kurt Cobain's money by getting sued over a Twitter rant she made 2 years ago.
Courtney Love's 140 character Twitter rants against a fashion designer are costing her more than $430,000, an attorney says. The singer has settled a lawsuit filed by Dawn Simorangkir, who sued the Hole frontwoman in March 2009 accusing her of making false statements about the designer and her past in a series of postings on the microblogging site Twitter and Love's Myspace blog.
The settlement was confirmed by Simorangkir's attorney, Bryan J. Freedman. The designer's label is called Boudoir Queen, and according to her lawsuit, she first came in contact with Love in 2008 and they met in February 2009 in Los Angeles to discuss some custom clothing.
The lawsuit contained several postings written under Love's former Twitter account, courtneylover79, that accused Simorangkir of theft and of having a criminal background.
"Personally I think $430,000 is an appropriate way to say she's sorry," Freedman said.
Hey, as they say, the entertainment industry is just an extension of high school.
