'Chronicle' Rules Weekend Box Office Race
The highest earning film in North American cinemas last week is Chronicle, a movie about a group of high school friends who develop superpowers.
According to reports, Chronicle earned an impressive $22 million over the weekend to win the tough race for the top earning films in America.
Produced by Fox the strong box office showing of Chronicle is a huge surprised among box office experts who predicted other films to win the race.
Spending only $12 million for the film, Fox is a hands down winner with the huge earnings of the movie which could grew even grew more this week.
Taking the second place in the race is the film "The Woman in Black" which stars Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, as a young lawyer who travels to a remote village where he encounters the ghost of
a scornful woman.
The film produced by CBS Film earned $21 million last week to earn the runner-up honor among films shown in North American cinemas.

Robert Downey Junior Welcomes A Son!
Robert Downey Jr. and his wife Susan have welcomed a baby boy!
Wife Susan delivered son Exton Elias Downey at 7:24 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7 in Los Angeles, his rep confirms to PEOPLE.
“Everyone is healthy and they couldn’t be happier,” a friend of the couple says.
Baby boy weighs in at 7 lbs., 5 oz., is 20 inches long and joins big brother Indio, 18, Downey’s son from his previous marriage.
After announcing the pregnancy in August, the Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows star, 46, revealed the sex of the baby on national television, much to his producer wife’s (feigned) chagrin.
“I could never really stay mad at him, but I can tell you it genuinely wasn’t something we planned to reveal,” Susan, 38, later explained.

Prediabetic Sickness Made Alex Baldwin Lose Weight
Do not be surprised if you see Hollywood A-lister Alex Baldwin much slimmer these days.
Baldwin recently told the media that he intentionally shed 30 pounds after he discovered that he is suffering from prediabetic.
Based on internet facts, a prediabetic condition means that the patient has some but not all of the criteria to be deemed diabetic.
The 30 Rock lead star said he decided to slim down so that his condition will not become a full-blown diabetes.
The actor made the tough revelation after he won the Best Actor in a TV Comedy in the recent Screen Actors Guild Awards.
According to reports, Baldwin is currently dating New York yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas.
Well, it is nice to know that Baldwin has made the commitment to trim down, since a healthy body is always the most important thing in this world, especially if you happen to be a celebrity.
Aaron Carter's Sister Died Of An Apparent Drug Overdose
Leslie Carter, the 25-year-old sister of Nick and Aaron Carter, suffered an apparent overdose according to a police report released Thursday. She is survived by her 10-month-old daughter.
Leslie, who was an aspiring singer, died on Tuesday in upstate New York. An official cause of death is pending toxicology tests.
Her stepmother, Ginger Carter, told authorities that Leslie had "a long history of mental illness" and seemed depressed the morning before she died, according to an incident report from the Chautauqua County sheriff.
Her parents continued to let her sleep, and she appeared ok, when they later checked on her...
Leslie's father came home around 4:16 p.m. and Leslie "was found in the bedroom not breathing or responding," says the report. Robert attempted CPR and then 911 was called. Leslie was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Authorities had found near Leslie medication to treat schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and anxiety, as well as a muscle relaxant.
Authorities later interviewed Ginger, who "appeared to be under the influence of an unknown drug" and had "slurred speech, pin-point pupils, glassy eyes and kept falling asleep."
Ginger said she had taken as many as six pills, including possibly Xanax, and as her police interview continued the officer became concerned that Ginger was at risk of an overdose.
That's hard - when you and your mom are addicted, you know you have a problem.

Bow Wow in Need of Gentlemen Training 101
On yesterday morning’s broadcast with New York based radio station, Power 105.1, Bow Wow went on record for the whole world to hear him confirm and refute who he has gotten down with in the sack. Not only did he name names, but on some of them he offered insightful comments like “She is every man’s dream.”
Notables on the list of confirmed encounters include Ciara, Karrine “Superhead” Steffans, and Miss Kim K. Joe Paterno Loses Fight against Lung Cancer
Former Penn State coach, Joe Paterno has died after a short battle with lung cancer. Paterno’s son announced just two months ago that his father, who had been a fixture at Penn State since 1950, was coping with the difficult diagnosis. Paterno’s family released the following statement on Sunday morning:
"He died as he lived. He fought hard until the end, stayed positive, thought only of others and constantly reminded everyone of how blessed his life had been. His ambitions were far reaching, but he never believed he had to leave this Happy Valley to achieve them. He was a man devoted to his family, his university, his players and his community."
Funeral arrangements for Paterno are expected to be announced on Monday by Koch Funeral Home.
Joe Paterno Removed from Respirator
Joe Paterno is edging closer and closer to death, according to multiple sources. Earlier reports from CBS sports that suggested the former Penn State coach had died have been refuted by Paterno’s family, though they do not deny he is gravely ill, and “continuing to fight.”
The hugely successful former football coach, who has an impressive record of 409 wins and 2 national championships, has had a very rough 3 months. Besides being diagnosed with lung cancer, the 85 year old was also fired from his coaching position and had his reputation ripped to shreds by the media due to his mishandling of the child sex abuse allegations connected to his former assistant coach, Jerry Sandusky.
Paterno has expressed remorse over the situation, recently telling the Washington Post "I'm sick about it. I didn't know exactly how to handle it, and I was afraid to do something that might jeopardize what the university procedure was. So I backed away and turned it over to some other people, people I thought would have a little more expertise than I did. It didn't work out that way."
