Brody Jenner and Avril Lavigne Split
Brody Jenner and girlfriend Avril Lavigne have reportedly split after dating for nearly two years.
Calling it quits last week, Lavigne, 25, and Jenner, 26, clashed over how to balance their relationship with their individual career pursuits.
"Every time he wanted to come back and take meetings to get his career back in order, she would make him go to Asia and Europe," an insider tells Us of Lavigne, who released her fourth studio album, Goodbye Lullaby, in March 2011, and helms her own clothing line, Abbey Dawn.
Former Hills star Jenner, says the source, felt held back by his girlfriend.
"He hasn't worked and he wants to. They were both unhappy because he wants to have his career, she wants him to stay with her," argues the insider, adding that Lavigne vetoed multiple TV show offers Jenner recently received.
No surprise there. They were never the right couple. Brody dated Playboy models before Avril and Avril dated rockers.

"Sk8er girl" Avril Lavigne continues to hone her skills at being a singer white trash queen by hanging out in Hollywood and having sex with Brody Jenner. Oh yeah, and getting into brawls at hotels.
According to our sources, Avril got into a dust-up shortly before 1:00 AM at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. We're told when Brody tried to intervene ... he took a bottle to the head from someone for his troubles. Law enforcement sources tell us hotel security broke up the fight and detained Brody and others involved. Police were called to the hotel and when all was said and done ... we're told the police report listed Brody as the victim of an assault with a deadly weapon. Our sources say Brody was the only one involved who spoke to police -- the other combatants (including Avril) had split by the time they arrived. We're told Brody refused medical attention and went to the hospital on his own.
Victim? Umm, no sir, any of us who have had to suffer through seeing his douche-ridden face on various craptastic reality shows are the true victims. Thank you.
