John Mayer Recovering From Throat Surgery
John Mayer, 34, is on the mend from surgery he had on Thursday to remove the granuloma (enlarged nodule) just above his vocal cord.
"I am now on complete vocal rest for a month or more," Mayer wrote on his Tumblr. "It's been a very long process in waiting to see if time was an alternative to surgery, but even given two weeks' voice rest (along with many other approaches), there was no change for the better."
Mayer first announced his diagnosis in September after he canceled a series of scheduled concerts and pushed back the release of his forthcoming album.

I'm really really really hoping this isn't true, primarily because I want to marry Kate Winslet, but also because she is way too intelligent for this! Word on the street is that Kate Winslet has been hooking up on the DL with John Mayer. Star Magazine has the reports:
Kate Winslet is trying her best to keep her steamy new hookup under wraps. But the newly single Oscar winner, 35, has been secretly spending time with notorious ladies’ man John Mayer, 33, Star has learned!
“A few weeks ago, John was at a party in Manhattan when he ran into Kate. He really put the moves on her, and Kate eventually responded,” says an insider. “She’s just having fun - and she’s begging him not to blab.”
John Mayer Could Have Had This
John Mayer is a total crackpot, but I still feel a small inking of remorse for him in the fact that he reportedly almost landed Katy Perry before Russell Brand landed on the scene.
“They’d never met in person, and she went to meet him there after she was at a Jay-Z concert at Madison Square Garden,” a source close to Mayer tells E! News. Mayer had joined Jay-Z at MSG for a performance and afterward asked fellow showgoer Perry to meet up later that night.
“John thought she was so hot and fun and was into her,” the insider recounts. “They were so flirty and all over each other that night at the bar, they really liked each other. Their personalities just clicked and they were flirting and dancing and it was on.” And how. They stayed at the bar until late, leaving only moments apart from the downtown bar—conveniently just around the corner from Mayer’s love nest.
The next day, which happened to be the VMAs, the two traded more texts. But before their relationship could blossom any further, enter Brand.
So basically they had a one night stand, and that was it? Dude, I get it to a point, but Katy Perry isn't good enough for anything more? Is anyone bro?I bet Mayer is kicking himself in the balls over this - literally.
Giada And John Mayer Did It
I wasn't there with a mini-HD cam or anything, but there were some rumors going around that Giada De Laurentiis and John Mayer were touching no-no's. Apparently that little rumor pissed off Giada.
